Following on from the announcement that Manga UK had licensed Dragon Ball Z Kai for UK release later this year, and that a distribution deal-with Animatsu Entertainment have been obtained for Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions; both companies have now unveiled their ‘potential’ third quarter release plans – and it includes a few surprises.
It all starts on the 6th July 2015; whereby Manga Entertainment UK will release the previously announced Samurai Bride – The Complete Collection on both DVD and Blu-ray; which comes as a massive surprise as the Blu-ray was previously cancelled without explanation. Alongside Samurai Bride on the 6th July will be the 21st Naruto Shippuden instalment; otherwise known as Naruto Shippuden – Box 21 on DVD.
Shortly afterwards, and on the 20th July 2015, Animatsu Entertainment will be stepping-in to help Manga Entertainment UK release Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions on DVD and Deluxe Edition Blu-ray. Details are still sketchy on this product but we have been promised ‘big things’ will be included. Meanwhile the recently delayed Nisekoi: False Love – Season 1 Part 1, which is being released by KAZE Entertainment through Manga UK, will be available on DVD and Blu-ray; finally Bleach – Series 16 Part 1 will also see its release on DVD on the same day; which is interesting considering Series 15 Part 2 has yet to be mentioned.
August continues to remain relatively quiet with Manga Entertainment UK releasing the first season of Dragon Ball Z Kai on DVD and Blu-ray on the 3rd August 2015 while Animatsu Entertainment are hoping to release the second RWBY Volume on the 24th August 2015 in both DVD and Blu-ray formats.
Finally the second season of Dragon Ball Z Kai will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray from the 28th September 2015.
As always these dates can change; additionally Manga Entertainment UK do have licenses to a fair amount of titles that have yet to be given a release date, such as the potential complete season 2 of K-ON!, Fairy Tail – Part 10, One Piece: Collection 11 and more importantly the Hellsing Ultimate IX and X. Although With the London Comic Con just a few weeks away further release announcements could be made; especially from Animatsu Entertainment – so we will just have to wait and see what happens.
