Unboxing: Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise (Collectors Edition Combo Pack)

royal-space-force-bluray-unboxing-front

Wings of Honneamise, otherwise known as Royal Space Force, is a feature-length anime film with a rather checkered past when it comes to the UK Anime scene; partly because its original release was edited slightly and partly because that edited scene was an attempted rape which felt out-of-place for the character and this particular movie. In any event Anime Limited released it uncut and as Collectors Edition Blu-ray release and today we will be giving it a look. Read more of this post

Are we ready for the Punch Line? Most likely not but we take a look anyway to explore what this latest Blu-ray release has in-store for us other than the fan-service thats expected.

Synopsis:

When your day begins with being held hostage in a hijacking, can things get much worse? How about being kicked out of your own body? Or learning that if you can’t re-possess your physical shell, you’ll trigger a panty-fueled apocalypse that will wipe out all life on the planet?

For Yuta Iridatsu, it’s just the start of the worst out-of-body experience ever. Now, if his dissed disembodied spirit doesn’t pursue the persuasions of a porn-obsessed paranormal pussycat and purloin a missing mystical manual, a meteor will collide with Earth! And to stack the odds even further, the book is hidden somewhere in the boarding house Yuta shares with a bevy of beautiful babes, but if he gets an eyeful of his ravishing co-renters in their unmentionables before he’s back in himself, it’s flash-forward to Doomsday! Manga Entertainment UK continues to provide a variety of different anime genres to the UK public and their next release is non-other-than HaNaYaMaTa; but can this colourful and charming anime win over the masses? Who knows; but it certainly won over my stone-cold-heart and so it should be able to win over yours!

Synopsis:

Created in Kochi in 1954, Yosakoi incorporates modern music and classic Japanese dance into a unique fusion performed in teams. Not that much has ever really grabbed Naru’s attention. She’s average in grades, average in sports and in art… really, the only thing that has ever caught her fancy is reading fairy tales. Entranced by Hana’s beauty and skill, Naru and her friends find themselves caught up in the whirlwind world of Yosakoi. It won’t be easy and just getting the club sponsored will be a trial, but between the movement, the melodies, and the friendship, Naru may have finally found a fairy tale of her own in Hanayamata!
