Deadman Wonderland, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, No Game No Life, Studio Ghibli films and more added to Netflix UK

A new month means a bulk-load of new additions to the ever-expanding catalogue of video-on-demand titles from Netflix; but this month we find that a large selection of back-catalogue anime titles have been added to the subscription based platform.

In this case anime fans will find previously released TV series releases such as Deadman Wonderland,Highschool DxD, No Game No Life as well as feature-length-films such as Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. That’s not all as the first batch of Studio Ghibli films have also been added to the service. The full list of new additions can be found below:

Films:

  • Boruto: Naruto the Movie: As the Seventh Hokage of Konoha village, Naruto is now inundated with duties, which puts a strain on his relationship with his son, Boruto.
  • Castle in the Sky: In this children’s anime adventure, a young miner and a mysterious girl search for a long-lost island that’s rumored to hold great riches.
  • In This Corner of the World: Suzu marries into a family living outside of Hiroshima and quickly settles into her new life, until World War II challenges her ability to survive.
  • Kiki’s Delivery Service: In this animated adventure, a young witch moves away from her family to practice her craft, but she finds that making new friends is difficult.
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: Take on Me: With entrance exams looming, Rikka’s sister wants her to move abroad. Yuta sets out to prove their love is real with a road trip through Japan.
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: Rikka Version: A retelling of the show from Rikka’s point of view as she’s caught between the delusions and realities of love, friendship and imagination.
  • My Hero Academia: Two Heroes: With Deku, All Might visits an old friend on the technologically advanced I-Island, when a gang of villains takes the whole city hostage.
  • My Neighbour Totoro: While spending a summer in the Japanese countryside with their father, two young sisters befriend mystical creatures who live in the nearby forest.
  • Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow: Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura learn they’ll be protecting an actress from being hurt while making her next film, but it turns out she’s a princess.
  • Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel: While on a mission to return a missing pet, Naruto and two fellow ninjas are ambushed by brutal knights led by the enigmatic Temujin.
  • Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom: Exuberant ninja Naruto teams up with his pals Sakura and Kakashi to escort Prince Michiru and his son, Hikaru, to the Crescent Moon kingdom.
  • Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The adventures of adolescent ninja Naruto Uzumaki continue as he’s tasked with protecting a priestess from a demon — but to do so, he must die.
  • Naruto Shippuden the Movie 2: Bonds: When strange ninjas ambush the village of Konohagakure, it’s up to adolescent ninja Naruto and his long-missing pal, Sasuke, to save the planet.
  • Naruto Shippuden the Movie 3: Will of Fire: When four out of five ninja villages are destroyed, the leader of the one spared tries to find the true culprit and protect his land.
  • Naruto Shippuden the Movie 4: The Lost Tower: When Naruto is sent to recover a missing nin, the rogue manages to send him 20 years into the past, where he unites with his father to battle evil.
  • Naruto Shippuden the Movie 5: Blood Prison: Mistakenly accused of an attack on the Fourth Raikage, ninja Naruto is imprisoned in the impenetrable Hozuki Castle and his powers are sealed.
  • Night is Short, Walk on Girl: One strange night in Kyoto seems to last a year. One hapless college student wants to confess his love to his classmate, but she’s on her own journey.
  • Ocean Waves: College student Taku recalls transfer student Rikako’s arrival two years ago, and the fateful summer that tested his bond with his friend Yutaka.
  • Only Yesterday: From pineapples to first loves: the now-and-then tale of a 27-year-old woman from Tokyo as she takes a trip out of the city and down memory lane.
  • Porco Rosso: When sky pirates terrorize the Adriatic Sea, this Italian pilot is the only one brave enough to take them on. Only catch: he’s half-man, half-pig.
  • Tales from Earthsea: As their world decays, an Archmage guides a troubled prince with a dark side on a journey to find the source of evil and save the women they love.

Series:

  • Deadman Wonderland: Falsely convicted for the mass murder of his classmates, a schoolboy must endure a nightmarish penal system, all while trying to prove his innocence.
  • Highschool DxD: When a young high school student is killed by a girl on his very first date, he’s revived by a girl devil and made a devil himself.
  • Is it Wrong to Pick-up Girls in a Dungeon: Lovable goof Bell Cranel wants an adventure, and when he meets the diminutive goddess Hestia, he gets much more than he bargained for.
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: High schooler Yuta wants to leave his past as a delusional weirdo behind. But his classmate Rikka has her own delusions, and she’s interested in his.
  • No Game No Life: Legendary gamer siblings Sora and Shiro are transported to a world where life is a series of games and humanity is in grave danger of extinction.
  • Noragami: Though he’s a deity, nobody really worships Yato. But after he teams with a young girl, the pair sets out to bring him the recognition he craves.
  • Pop Team Epic: This animated adaptation of the quirky four-panel comic brings the random exploits of Popuko and Pipimi to life.

As per usual a valid Netflix subscription is required to view any content on the service; a service which is soon becoming a go-to place for back catalogue anime titles as well as Netflix dubbed related titles. It’s also worth noting that a large selection of the titles above are available on Blu-ray and DVD via various different distributors such as Manga Entertainment, MVM Entertainment, Anime Limited and STUDIO CANAL.
