Noragami – Season 1 listed for a September Release Window

Earlier today Amazon UK updated it’s pre-order listings for a variety of upcoming Manga UK, and Animatsu, titles and while majority of them were to be expected, such as Dragon Ball Z Kai, Bleach and Naruto, there was one that came as a bit of a surprise; and thats Noragami.

So what exactly is Noragami? Well here is a synopsis of the show:

Minor god Yato is down on his luck. Fed up with his slacker lifestyle, his partner abruptly quits. He has no money, no worshippers, and no shrine to call home. But just when things are starting to seem hopeless, a bus accident forces him to cross paths with Hiyori Iki, a sweet and perky high school girl.

After the accident, Hiyori’s soul has a bad habit of slipping out of her body, and after enlisting Yato’s help to get her back to normal, she begins to fall into the world of spirits and gods. But Hiyori’s not the only one who’s keeping tabs on Yato. A god from Yato’s past is back, and he’s not interested in a friendly reunion.

Currently listed for a 21st September 2015 release date on both DVD and Blu-ray this particular title will feature the entire first season in, which consists of 12 episodes, in both English and Japanese audio. Interestingly Manga Entertainment UK have yet to confirm that they have licensed the series, although they did tweet earlier suggesting that some users had seen the new title.

Either-way in terms of ‘licensing’ anime, whether it be through Animatsu or Kaze, then it domes MangaUK are coming back to their roots of previous years – but only time will tell on how good the discs themselves will be.
