Universal Pictures UK Confirm My Hero Academia – Season 1 Release Plans

Late last month BBFC listings were discovered that revealed that Universal Pictures UK would be releasing the first season of My Hero Academia on Blu-ray and DVD. Well today Universal Pictures UK have officially confirmed that they will be releasing the series within the UK and better yet it will be getting the Limited Edition Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack treatment. Selection of Upcoming FUNimation UK Titles Switched to Blu-ray

Consider this both good and bad news as distributor Anime Limited, on behalf of FUNimation UK, have recently announced on their blog that a selection of upcoming FUNimation titles have been switched to Blu-ray only releases (as opposed to Combo Pack’s and Stand-a-lone DVD’s) due to the Japanese licensor demanding PAL authored DVD’s. Plot: The King’s close advisor implemented a large-scale witch-hunt. The tragic victims of this hunt were not witches, however, but Makai Knights and Makai Priests.
