Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and Kuroko’s Basketball To Stream on Netflix UK this Month

Updated listings in the ‘coming soon’ section of the Netflix UK application have revealed that season one of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and Kuroko’s Basketball will be coming to the subscription-based video on demand platform later this month.

Specifically Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba will be available to stream from the 22nd January 2021 while Kuroko’s Basketball will be available to stream a week earlier on the 15th January 2021. It’s not known whether either series will come with the English Dub, but the previews on the application do show them presented in Japanese with English subtitles.

Demon Slayer: It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a demon slayer so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family. A sorrowful tale of siblings in which the fates of humans and demons intertwine…begins now!

Kuroko’s Basketball: Once upon a time, a team of basketball prodigies rose to the top by demolishing all competition. This team became known as the Generation of Miracles, as they are all in the same year group and they were considered children of miracle. After junior high school ended, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few people know is that there was another player accompanying the Generation of Miracles, a Phantom Sixth Man. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, yet little-known, team. Now, Tetsuya Kuroko, the sixth man formerly with the Generation of Miracles, and Taiga Kagami, a naturally talented player who spent most of junior high school in America, are aiming to bring Seirin to the top of Japan, taking on Kuroko’s old teammates one by one.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba has recently been released in the UK on Blu-Ray via Anime Limited whereas Kuroko’s Basketball has never received an official home video release. Either way both are exciting additions to already impressive line-up of content available on the platform. Speaking of content it’s expected that some anime titles, especially the first season of Attack on Titan, are due to be removed from the streaming platform in February 2021. Titles that are expected to be removed from the platform will appear with a warning when starting an episode.

Netflix is a subscription based video on demand platform that allows fans to watch a variety of content through various different devices. The service will also be receiving a price increase of £1 on all tariffs next month.
