FUNimation App Now Available on Nintendo Switch

FUNimation have today announced that a brand new FUNimation App, which allows access to the video-on-demand platform (formly known as FUNimation NOW), is now available to download on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch in North America.

Much like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Smart TV variations of the FUNimation app this Nintendo Switch version will allow anime fans to view content directly on their Nintendo Switch device, whether docked or handheld, so long as a valid (and stable) internet connection is available. Functionalities from the previous FUNimation App, such as adding titles to a watchlist, are included. At the time of writing the application is only available from the North American Nintendo eShop, but it is assumed that the app will be released in other regions.

FUNimation have also mentioned that updated versions of the FUNimation App for other console platforms are in development and planned to be released in the near future. A video detailing the new FUNimation App for Nintendo Switch can also be found below.
