Those looking forward to KOEI TECMO and GUST’s upcoming video game adaptation of the FAIRY TAIL anime and manga series will be disappointed to learn that the game has been ‘delayed’ worldwide until July as a result of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
Rumours about the games delay first appeared earlier this week when release schedules inside Japanese gaming magazines suggest a ‘July’ release date as opposed to its previously expected June release date. Shortly after the relevant teams in each region formally announced through social media that the game had been pushed back until the 30th July 2020 (within Europe and Japan) and 31st July 2020 (within North America).
FAIRY TAIL will be released onto the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and STEAM and is now expected to release on the 30th July 2020 within Europe. A Collector’s Edition variation of the game, known as the Guild Box Edition, is also available to pre-order at the KOECI TEMCO EU Store will stocks last.
