Netflix Announces Main Cast for Live-Action Cowboy Bebop TV Series

Netflix currently don’t have a great track record of successfully adapting manga and anime into a live-action variation, case and point the Netflix original Death Note film, but this may be about to change with the main cast of the live-action Netflix produced Cowboy Bebop series being announced.
In this case John Cho, who has previously portrayed Hikaru Sulu in JJ Abrams trilogy of Star Trek reboot films, will take on the role of Spike Spiegel and act as the star casting for this live-action TV series adaptation. Jet Black meanwhile will be played by Mustafa Shakir, who also starred in another Netflix produced series, and based on the Marvel comic of the same name, Luke Cage.

The Netflix produced live-action TV series of Cowboy Bebop is being written by Christopher Yost, who was the co-writer on Thor: Ragnarok, and produced in partnership with Tomorrow Studios, Marty Adelstein, and Sunrise. An expected streaming date for this series has yet to be announced.
