Free-to-view UK TV Channel CITV have announced they will be hosting the UK Premire of the latest Pokemon Movie, otherwise known as Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, this weekend as part of it’s CITV Movie Club.

The film will be broadcast on the dedicated Children’s ITV Channel, otherwise known as CITV, at 9:25am on Saturday 12th December 2015 and the film itself takes place within the new Pokemon XY: Kalos Quest anime series which has recently been broadcast on the channel every week.

What’s in store for this particular Pokemon movie? Well here is a synopsis as provided by The Pokemon Company themselves:

Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages takes Ash and his friends to a desert city by the sea. Here they meet the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, who has the ability to summon things—including people and Pokémon—through its magic ring.

After a scary incident, they learn a story about a brave hero who stopped the rampage of a terrifying Pokémon long ago. Now, the threat that has been bottled up for years is in danger of breaking loose again! Can Ash help his new friend overcome the darkness within…or will a dangerous secret erupt into a clash of legends?

Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages has previously been shown in Cartoon Network in America; but this is the first time the film will receive a UK broadcast. It’s a shame that ITV haven’t upgraded CITV to HD (or opted to show the film on it’s main channel) as the film – and anime series – was initally created in High Definition; but never-the-less seeing it on UK TV is always a plus.

CITV is available on Freeview (Channel 122), Sky (channel 621) and Freesat (channel 602) and is a free-to-view (freeview) channel so a subscription is not needed.
