CITV To Broadcast Pokemon Advanced Starting from Next Week

With the first season of Pokemon XY drawing to a close on UK TV Channel CITV at the end of this week CITV, and i assume with some approval from The Pokemon Company, have decided to replace it with the much-older TV Series Pokemon Advanced.

Starting from 12th January 2015 at 7:20am, with the same episode repeated again at 2:10pm, and shown every day throughout the week Pokemon fans will be able to experience Ash, May, Max and Brock venture across the Hoenn region with each character persuing their dreams. CITV is available on Freeview (Channel 122), Sky (Channel 621) and Freesat (Channel 602).

In retrospect its actually a clever move; as not only does it allow younger generations of Pokemon fans to experience a series they may have missed, as originally Pokemon Advanced was only shown on Sky One and then later Cartoon Network, but it also allows older fans to re-experience an older series. Another reason (as to why its clever) is that it helps promote the latest Nintendo 3DS Pokemon game, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, both of which are based in the Hoenn region.

Pokemon Advanced will air every weekday at 7:20am with the same episode repeated later in the day at 2:10pm; additionally the entire first season of Pokemon Advanced (along with its sequel Advanced Challenge) are available on Amazon Instant Video and (i think) Netflix UK.
