Anime Limited, along with the newly recruited Jeremy Graves, have today taken to the official website to reveal some interesting pieces of information regarding future Anime Limited releases – and as you’d expect it’s not all good news; although some good news can be expected.
The Bad News:
The bad news is that the upcoming release of Blood Lad, which is being released as a Collectors Edition Blu-ray and Collectors Edition DVD, has been delayed by week and as a result will now be released on the 2nd February 2015. The reason for this delay is due to finalised stock not being received at the suppliers – it’s nothing serious but it does bring disappointment if you were eagerly awaiting its release.
The second piece of bad news is that the Collectors Edition bundle of Perfect Blue has now gone out-of-print; which means any units floating around on store shelves are the only bits of stock remaining and since no-more versions of this are being produced you may want to get it now while you still can.
The Good News:
The good news on the other hand is that Perfect Blue will be re-released a standard edition Blu-ray; this version will come in a basic amaray case with the disc content being the same as that of the Collectors Edition. It’s not just Perfect Blue which will receive the ‘standard edition’ treatment either as Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning will also be receiving a standard edition version.
Both ‘standard edition’ versions of Perfect Blue and Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning are expected to be released next month, during February 2015, although Anime Limited aim to provide further details in the coming weeks.
So to sum-up; Blood Lad has been delayed by one week, and will now be released in February, meanwhile Perfect Blue and Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning will be re-released as standard versions in February.
