CINEMA:

The Concierge / The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store:
Release Date: TBC

Synopsis: The word ‘no’ doesn’t exist in a concierge’s dictionary.” That’s just one of the demanding rules that Akino must abide by in her new job as a saleswoman at the elegant and expansive Hokkyoku Department Store. It’s a very special store the customers are all animals, and the most valued among them are of extinct species. Sea minks, laughing owls, Japanese wolves, even an enormous mammoth that’s Mr. Woolly, the celebrated sculptor whose works are showcased at the store. It’s still a luxury retail space, though, and anxious Akino finds her hands full with the customers’ challenging requests. These range from hard-to-find merchandise to more complicated matters of the heart. Can the inexperienced Akino fulfill their whims and meet their expectations? If she wants to keep her job, she’ll have to succeed while under constant observation by the fussy floor manager Mr. Todo, a creepy consultant eager to downsize the staff, and the store’s enigmatic president (who is not a penguin, by the way!.).

Komada: The Whisky Family
Release Date: TBC

Synopsis: Kotaro, a novice editor for a web news, visits Komada Distillery for a project on Japanese craft whisky. Led by a young female president Rui who recently took over the family business, the distillery works hard to reproduce its signature whisky KOMA they had to stop making years ago. KOMA was a brand that Rui’s grandfather and father had lovingly preserved and an symbol of happiness for all . However, not to mention financial backing, too many clues are missing to revive the whisky once lost. Rui, Kotaro, and the distillery supporters pull together every thread to bring back the whisky filled with family memories.

BLU-RAY:

Project A-KO
Release Date: TBC

We suspect that Anime Limited will use the disc masters made by Discotek Media in the US, of which saw the film remastered in high definition from the original film negatives, and presented in both English & Japanese (with English subtitles). Regardless, Anime Limited are planning to release Project A-KO as a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray.

Synopsis: On a splendid morning, an effervescently cheerful teenaged schoolgirl named A-ko sets off for school with her delightfully ditzy friend, C-ko. The duo are students in a marvelous futuristic city, but A-ko is about to run afoul of the wealthy and powerful B-ko, a young lady used to getting everything she wants―and what she wants is C-ko! Also, a vast and powerful alien fleet is about to touch down in Graviton City, and they’re after something, too. Fortunately for us, A-ko’s no ordinary schoolgirl―she’s got super powers of her own! An all-star squad of the anime world’s greatest talents collaborated on Project A-ko, led by director Katsuhiko Nishijima (Agent Aika, Najica Blitz Tactics) and character designer Yuji Moriyama (Robot Carnival, Geobreeders). Discotek is bursting with pride to present this beloved anime classic in high-definition for the very first time anywhere, along with a treasure trove of features so hefty that A-ko herself might struggle to lift it.

Gunbuster 2 / DieBuster
Release Date: TBC

Synopsis: In the future where space monsters invade the Sol System, a young girl named Nono has left her home behind, to come alone to the big city. She has a grand dream of becoming a space pilot. But reality is harsh, and she instead spends her days working at the diner near the spaceport. Her life changes the day she meets a real life “Topless” pilot named Lal’C. Neither realize that the future of humanity rests on both of them!

Akiba Maidwar
Release Date: TBC

We suspect that Anime Limited will use the same disc masters as those used by Sentai Filmworks in the US, if so then the set will contain all 12 episodes across 2 Blu-Ray Discs in English & Japanese (with English subtitles). Bonus features on the US release also included Japanese promotional materials and clean opening and ending songs.

Synopsis: In an alternate past, the otaku paradise of Akihabara was an unsavory hive of scum and villainy. One thing, however, is sort of the same: Maid Cafés! Except maids are the enforcers and assassins for corporate corruption… which is unfortunate for new maid Nagomi, who was too blinded by the cutesy uniforms and clever waitressing tricks to understand the darker reality of the maid business until she’d already joined the seemingly sweet Oinky Doink Café with Ranko Mannen. Now that’s not ketchup on table 5 as the carnage erupts in Akiba Maid War!

Macross Zero
Release Date: TBC

Synopsis: Taking place one year before the Zentraedi arrive on Earth, Macross Zero chronicles the final days of the war between the U.N. Spacy and anti-U.N. factions. After being shot down by the anti-U.N.’s newest fighter plane, ace pilot Shin Kudo finds himself on the remote island of Mayan, where technology is almost non-existent. While Shin stays on the island to heal his wounds, the tranquility of the island is shattered by a battle that involves the UN’s newest fighter – the VF-0.

Macross Plus
Release Date: TBC (Ultimate Edition Pre-Orders Begin 6th June 2024 via AllTheAnime Store)

Macross Plus will be released as an Ultimate Edition Blu-ray in the UK, and will contain both Movie and OVA Editions of the title. It was also mentioned that the English Dub (by MangaUK & Bandai) will be included for the relevant episodes. As shown in the beauty shot, the Ultimate Edition will be presented in a Laser Disc style box, which is why it looks like a Vinyl set, and currently confirmed content includes an A3 Poster, Art Cards and an extensive Art Book. More details will be shared in the future, but fans can register interest at the newly opened website.

Synopsis: Three decades after the glassing of Earth in what has since become known as Space War One. On the colonial planet of Eden, U.N. SPACY is testing transformable variable fighters to counter further alien attacks. Two prototype aircraft piloted by former childhood friends, loose cannon Isamu and the Zentradi mixed alien race Guld, go head-to-head in aerial and robot combat superiority over a lucrative military contract, and the affections of mutual love interest Myung.
