Anime Limited Announces Replacement Scheme for Escaflowne Ultimate Edition Blu-ray

Anime Limited’s Ultimate Edition Blu-ray release of Escaflowne hasn’t even been officially released yet (it’s due for release on the 14th November 2016) and the UK Anime Distributor have already announced a replacement scheme for an issue discovered on the second Blu-ray disc of the set; specifically Episode 9 of the anime TV Series. As of late expectations of what to see released during the fourth quarter of 2016 have slowly been getting revealed; with both MangaUK/Animatsu and MVM Entertainment slowly updating their release catalogues but when it comes to Anime Limited titles we never quite know what to expect or when.

Anime Limited Panel Round-Up from MCM Manchester Comic Con July 2016

Anime Limited were out in force at this years MCM Manchester Comic Con and it is up to the el presidente of Anime Limited, Andrew Partridge, to deliver the exciting news of what the company has in store for fans in the coming months. Truthfully the announcements were pretty thin, with only two new titles being announced; but what the panel did provide was information, claraity and an insight into the world of Anime Licensing and distribution; all of which you shall see in our video of the panel.

So what exactly was discussed? Well Andrew went on to explain what you can expect from the upcoming Ultimate Edition Blu-ray release of Fullmetal Alchemist as well as reveal the contents of the much rumoured Escaflowne: Ultimate Edition. In addition to these ‘hot products’ Andrew announcement that Anime Limited would be releasing Ouran Highschool Host Club and a collection of shorts by Production I.G. onto Blu-ray at some point in the near future. Riding Bean Blu-ray Kickstarter Achieves Target Within a Day

During the course of the weekend AnimEigo, the company which previously released Bubblegum Crisis onto Blu-ray a few years back, launched a Kickstarter campaign for Sonoda Ken’ichi”s fast-paced action OVA film Riding Bean and within 24 hours the campaign was successfully funded.

The concept of the Kickstarter campaign, much like the previously released Bubblegum Crisis Kickstarter, was to secure funds to release a Blu-ray Edition of Riding Bean with the film itself in crisp 1080p quality, English and Japanese with English subtitles and a selection of bonus on-disc content. AnimEigo were hoping to secure $30,000 within the 30 day period of the campaign but at the time of writing the company has secured over $78k and shows no sign of stopping; all of which can be seen on the Kickstarter campaign page. Terror in Resonance Ultimate Edition Artwork and Contents Revealed

After a relatively long wait UK anime distributor Anime Limited have revealed what to expect from the upcoming Ultimate Edition release of Terror in Resonance.

To start with Terror in Resonance will be released as a ‘Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack’ version with the Ultimate Edition packaging design being similar to their upcoming release of Full Metal Panic – which i have unboxed here. This particular edition of the series will also include a 100-page artbook featuring original art that was used on the original Japanese release. Read more of this post

The Disappointing Truth: Full Metal Panic – Ultimate Edition

Due for release on the 7th December 2015 the UK Blu-ray debut of the entire Full Metal Panic franchise is something to get quite excited for if you are a fan of the franchise; however this excitement also comes at a great cost… and I’m not referring to its three digit retail price tag.

For those who attended the London MCM Comic Con in October advanced copies of the set, known as the Ultimate Edition, were available for purchase and considering its relatively competitive £90 price tag it had (for reference its £110 on Amazon UK) I opted to pick-one-up and explore its collectable goodness; unfortunately however what happened next came as a bit of a disappointment; and i apologise in advance if it sounds like i’m nagging.
