ITVX begins Streaming Anime in the UK with over 30 titles including Looking for Magical Doremi and Princess Jellyfish

Back in July last year ITV announced that they had partnered with Anime Limited to bring a wide variety of Anime to their revised streaming service, ITVX, and during the past week a new advertising campaign on social has been promoting the arrival of anime titles on the platform.

Now, we are not saying that these titles have only just appeared on the platform, as some titles (such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and Cowboy Bebop) were added late last year; however with the promotional campaign taking place we’ve now seen a wide variety of titles become available on the platform including some surprise additions such as Princess Jellyfish and the feature-length-film Looking for Magical Doremi.

The addition of Princess Jellyfish and Looking For Magical Doremi is a big surprise, as previously Princess Jellyfish was only available on DVD through Kaze Entertainment. Looking for Magical Doremi meanwhile has only been shown at cinemas during Scotland Loves Anime. The inclusion of both of these suggests that Anime Limited may have secured home video licensing rights along with streaming, but we won’t know for sure until an official announcement is made. A few other surprises include Ghost in the Shell 2.0, which was originally released by Manga Entertainment, and Patalor, which was released in the US by Sentai Filmworks but has not seen a UK release for some time. Outside of these titles the rest have previously been released in the UK by Anime Limited.

In total over 30 titles are available to stream on ITVX, and sadly they can be quite difficult to find. Unlike Netflix and Amazon Prime, which have an Anime section or can be found by searching “Anime”, ITVX is rather straightforward and requires you to look through one of five different areas or search for the title directly. As a result of this it can be difficult to know what titles are available, but thankfully we’ve created a list below.

All currently known titles on ITVX can be found below:

All of the titles listed above are available to stream in the UK through your PC on a compatible device via the ITVX application, however it is worth noting that adverts will be displayed before and during the episode at random intervals. Adverts can be removed by upgrading to the ITVX Premium subscription, and further details about this can be found here.
