MVM Entertainment to Release Kanon on DVD in 2022

UK anime distributor MVM Entertainment have recently announced on social media that they will release the classic 2002 anime series, Kanon, on DVD in the UK in 2022, with pre-orders available through the anime-on-line website.

Kanon, much like the recently announced AIR, originally began life as a visual novel developed by KEYS before being adapted into an anime series, and follows high school student Yuichi Aizawa as she attempts to recover lost memories.

About: Yuichi hasn’t seen his cousin Nayuki in years. Now that he’s back, all knowledge of ever visiting has vanished. He tries to adjust to the vaguely familiar surroundings, but the gaps in his memory haunt him as time grows short. The pieces of the puzzle have appeared – an eerily silent beauty with blazing tresses, the mysterious girl with the winged backpack, and the sword-wielding demon slayer – but it’s up to Yuichi to discover how they fit together.

Scheduled for a 14th April 2022 release, the DVD set will contain all 24 episodes in a single collection and be presented in with English and Japanese audio options. It’s also expected that MVM Entertainment will use the same disc materials as those used in either North America and Australia.
