MVM To Release Venus Versus Virus on DVD in 2022

MVM Entertainment continue to dig into the anime archives as the UK based distributor have today announced through social media that they will release the 2007 dark fantasy anime series Venus Versus Virus on DVD in 2022 within the UK.

After a lifetime of seeing ghosts, young Sumire is recruited by powerful Lucia to fight demons! The girls battle darkness as members of the Venus Vanguard, a group dedicated to ridding the world of its greatest threat – Virus. But as they discover why every life is worth saving, they also learn that they carry their own unlocked potential for evil. The Virus rages out of control, but Sumire and Lucia are prepared to give it the beating it truly deserves. Get ready – it’s time for your vaccination.

As with the recent announcements of AIR and KANON we expect the UK Distributor to use the same disc materials as the North American release by FUNimation, in which case would see all 12 episodes of the series presented across 2 DVD Discs in English and Japanese (with English subtitles).

Venus Versus Virus is currently scheduled for a 9th May 2022 release on DVD in the UK and is available to pre-order on Anime-On-Line. We expect additional retail listings at retailers such as Amazon and HMV in the coming weeks.
