Samurai Warriors 5 Expands Rosta with 10 Additional Characters

KOEI TECMO Europe continue to drip-feed information about the upcoming Samurai Warriors 5 game, of which is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as Steam in the near future, by revealing ten additional playable characters within the base game.

As part of this latest info drop KOEI TECMO confirmed that ten former non-playable characters are now ready to fight for the spotlight, with characters having more visual detail but not as strong moves as the regular cast. These newly announced characters include everyone from Nobunaga’s younger brother, Nobuyuki Oda, to Motonari Mōri’s grandson, Terumoto Mōri. Additional historic figures will also be featured, including Motonobu Okabe, Katsuyori Takeda, Motoharu Kikkawa, Dōsan Saitō, Yoshitatsu Saitō, Yoshiaki Ashikaga, Yoshikage Asakura, and Fujihide Mitsubuchi.

In addition to additional characters KOEI TECMO Europe also confirmed that additional post-launch DLC is being planned for the title, which really doesn’t come as much of a surprise. This DLC will add new scenarios, background music and horses.

Samurai Warriors 5 is currently in development for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as Steam in the near future.
