Anime Limited License Blood-C and K for UK Blu-Ray Release with Multiple Titles Added to Amazon Instant Video for Prime Members

Those who have an Amazon Prime account and would like to Stream even more anime content will be excited to know that Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, have added a selection of titles to the video-on-demand streaming platform; including brand new title licenses Blood-C and the first season of K.

The additions of these titles to Amazon Instant Video may come as a surprise, and so it should; but more importantly it is the licensing of Blood-C, Blood-C: The Last Dark and K that takes us by surprise as all three titles were previously licensed by Manga Entertainment UK. Although they were previously licensed by Manga UK they have long since been out of print, so it is nice to see the licenses renewed by a different distributor. Regardless… Anime Limited have licensed these shows and plans to release Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray variations of them at some point in the near future.

Blood-C: A peaceful countryside village on a lake shore. Klutzy but good-hearted Saya has been living there as far as she can remember, and has never seen the outside world. This doesn’t really seem to bother her, as she stays with her caring and beloved father, and all her classmates and the teacher at school are so nice and friendly. But Saya’s eventless daylight life abruptly shifts into pure mayhem at night as she skillfully wields her sword to confront the Elder Bairns, creatures featuring the most diverse shapes, but with one thing in common -they feed on humans.

Blood-C: The Last Dark: Following the enforcement of the new Youth Protection Act, minors are forbidden to circulate in the streets after 9PM and the use of the Internet is regulated. However, young people continue to fight underground for their own freedom.

A group called Sirrut, in particular, has declared war on Fumito Nanahara, a man whose great influence at both political and economic level has virtually made him the ruler of Tokyo.

K: Set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we’re familiar with, K follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a psychic war between seven kings. Yashiro Isana, also known as Shiro, is wanted for a crime he has no recollection of committing.

He finds himself being hunted by the groups HOMRA, led by Mikoto Suoh, “The Red King,” and SCEPTER 4, led by Reisi Munakata, “The Blue King.” While on the run, a young man named Kuroh Yatogami helps him. This fated encounter will change Shiro’s life forever.
