Bakugan: Battle Planet to Start Broadcasting on POP! Next Week

Earlier in the week we reported that Bakugan: Battle Planet, which is a reboot of the original Bakugan: Battle Brawlers series, would be broadcast on UK TV via the POP! channel, and now thanks to updated TV listings we can confirm that it will begin its broadcast next week.

Starting on Monday 2nd September at 6:30pm POP! will broadcast two episodes of Bakugan: Battle Planet, with each episode being 15 minutes (or so) in length. New episodes will be broadcast each day at 6:30pm each weekday and it is expected that episodes will be repeated at the weekend.

Synopsis: The series follows Dan Kouzo, Shun Kazami, Wynton Styles, Lia Venegas, and their dog Lightning. They are known as the “Awesome Ones” and make videos on the website ViewTube. Eventually, they stumble across a race of battling biomechanical creatures called Bakugan. They soon befriend the Bakugan and begin to battle each other with them, all while defending their neighborhood from thugs who use the Bakugan for malicious purposes. They encounter many foes such as Philomena Dusk and the mysterious Magnus, bent on beating Dan in a Bakugan Battle to be the best brawler.

Bakugan: Battle Planet will replace Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl Galactic Battles week-day slot and will be shown before Dragon Ball Super each week-day, which ironically is also receiving double bills from next week and is about to start the Goku Black arc.

POP! is available on Freeview 206, Sky 616, Freesat 606 and Virgin Media 736.
