Kampfer Delayed Until End of March

Following on from the delay of Fate Stay/Night – Unlimited Blade Works – Part 1, which we reported on last week, MVM Entertainment have now confirmed that Kampfer has been delayed until the end of March.
Originally due for release this coming monday, 7th March 2016, both the Blu-ray and DVD release of the series have been postponed until the 28th March 2016.
A specific reason for the delay has not been given; but it would be interesting if MVM Entertainment were looking into issues we noticed on the sample review discs – specifically a missing chapter point in Episode 2 and heavy pixelation/distortion on the sixth episode.
In any event; Kampfer – The Complete Series will be now be released on the 28th March 2016 on both DVD and Blu-ray formats.
a bit offtopic: Ladies Versus Butlers Blu-Ray collection is confirmed to support regional ‘B’ players, tested using the PS4.
note, the box art only says ‘A’, but it works on region B.
That’s interesting to hear; have you been able to test it on a UK Region B Blu-ray player (excluding PS3 & PS4 Consoles?)
Reason i ask is because most Sentai Filmworks titles can be played on a PS3 & PS4 console but they can not be played on a traditional Blu-ray player.
The reason being is because the discs are ‘geo-locked’ to USA and all ps3/ps4 consoles are setup as US. Blu-ray players on the other hand are geo-locked to the UK/EU.
I’m afraid that the PS3/4 are the only BD player that I have.
That said, I did have trouble with some animes not playing on them because they were locked to regional ‘A’ only. With those I usually use the same ‘chapter select’ method you outlined in the past. But this wasn’t the case with Ladies versus Butlers, the discs played normally without the hated ‘regional A only’ notice.
Sorry, that is as far as I can go with testing it.
As mentioned Ladies Versus Butlers was probably ‘Geo-Locked’ to US region and this is why it works on your PS3/4 console.
All PS3/4 consoles are ‘Geo-Locked’ to the US; so as far the console is concerned it is the correct region.
If you placed the disc into a standard Blu-ray player it may pop-up with Region A only screen.
Its quite a common occurence amongst most Sentai/Maiden Japan authored titles.
