Live-Action Black Butler Film To Hit UK Cinemas Next Week

It’s been confirmed that Warner Bros UK will be bringing the live-action Black Butler (Kuroshitsuki) film to the UK and better yet it will be available in selective cinemas across the UK starting next week.
The film, which uses characters and ideals created within Yana Toboso’s Black Butler manga, takes place in the year 2020 within an Asian city and it sees our main protagonists attempt to undercover the mystery’s behind the Mummified dead bodies of various dignitaries being left within the city limits.
It seems like your traditional ‘Black Butler’ storyline, whereby Shiori / Kiyoharu (depending on which you prefer) and Sebastian are sent by the Queen to uncover the truth. While some character names remain intact a variety amount of details have been changed, for instance this film is based in the future as opposed to in the past (like the original manga and anime series) and more interestingly is that Shiori / Kiyoharu is actually a woman pretending to be a man, as the Phantomhive family only accept men as their heirs.
Because of this ‘alterations’ this live-action Black Butler movie should be considered as a stand-a-lone release within the Black Butler franchise, rather than an adaptation of the original manga. Anyway; the live-action Black Butler film will be available within selective cinemas across the UK on the 17th October 2014 but in the meantime you can check out the official trailer for the film.
Interesting actually where does the film set in, if feel British?
It will get an bluray release later right?
It’s supposedly set within a ‘fictional’ multi-national city.
In terms of a home video release details have not been confirmed but I suspect it will receive one several months after it’s cinema debut.
