Neptunia X SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars To Receive FREE Launch Day DLC

The action-RPG cross-over Neptunia X SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars launches this week on the PlayStation 4 within North America and Europe, and to celebrate publisher Idea Factory International will offer a selection of outfits as free downloadable content from the PlayStation Store.

In hindsight the downloadable content being offered should have been included in the base game as standard, as it is Standard (non-transformed) designs for each of the playable goddesses and shinobi in the game. With the DLC installed it means that fans can play characters as either their regular or transformed/HDD states, with transformed/HDD states being the regular option.

In addition to this FREE DLC announcement publisher Idea Factory International also caught up with Japanese voice actors  Rie Tanaka (Purple Heart/Neptune) and Hitomi Harada (Asuka) to ask about their experiences with the franchise.

Tanaka (Purple Heart/Neptune):

How did your character appeal to you when performing as them in this game?Tanaka: Just seeing Purple Heart going out to battle with an all-new ninja outfit makes me so excited! We’ve also recorded new voices for this, and I hope you’ll play as Purple Heart!

Please tell us about any scenes that left an impression on you.Tanaka: I think it ends up being that one scene where we get on the peaches… (laughs) I’d like it if you listen to the song so much that it gets stuck in your head. ♪ Have some fun and sing along with it too!

Do you have a message for the fans?Tanaka: Once “Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars” releases, please play it a whole bunch! Nep and Purple Heart are waiting for you! I hope you’ll sing along to the Peaches & Cream Meditation Folk Song too~♪

Hitomi Harada (Asuka):

How did your character appeal to you when performing as them in this game?Harada: Part of Asuka’s charm is how she’s so bright, like the sun, and carefree. She’s able to interact with characters from anywhere, and those qualities about her never change.

Please tell us about any scenes that left an impression on you.Harada: The scene where everyone takes a bath together. My heart felt so warm. I’d be happy to know that anyone who played this game got those same warm feelings, too.

Do you have a message for the fans?

Harada: This title is a collaboration with Nep’s world, and I was excited to see what it would be like. I had a lot of fun acting, so I hope you have a lot of fun running around in this world together with Asuka and the others!

Neptunia X SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars is now available for the PlayStation 4 within North America and will be released on the 29th October 2021 within Europe and Australia.
