MVM Entertainment To Release Kamisama Kiss Complete Collection on DVD This October

MVM Entertainment have recently taken to social media to annouce that they will release a Complete Collection of Kamisama Kiss, which contains both Season 1 and Season 2 in a single set, on DVD on the 5th October 2020. The distributor also mentioned that they are investigating the possibility of a Blu-Ray release.

Previously MVM Entertainment released Kamisama Kiss – Season 1 on DVD followed up a few years later with its second season on both DVD and Blu-Ray with fans left hoping that a Blu-Ray release of the first season would make an appearance or if a complete collection would be made available in the future. For the time being at least part of that request is being fulfilled, with a Complete Collection on DVD being released, and the Blu-Ray variation being investigated.

we are looking into doing a complete collection on BD as well – as we never did S1 on BD, it means having to acquire the rights, masters etc which will take some time but there is no guarantee.

Naturally we must pray to the land god, or perhaps even the fox demon, that things work out for MVM Entertainment in being able to secure the relevant license and assets in order to produce a complete Blu-Ray collection; but at the very least we will see a complete collection (Season 1 and 2) on DVD later this year.

In addition to the announcement of Kamisama Kiss – Complete Collection MVM Entertainment also unveiled a new ‘early bird special‘ segment of the Anime-On-Line Store. Much like All The Anime / Anime Limited’s early bird promotions MVM Entertainment will offer promotional discounts on selected titles on the build-up to release, and naturally this set will be the first title on offer.

Kamisama Kiss – Season 1 is available now on DVD, with Season 2 available on Blu-Ray and DVD. The Complete Colleciton containing both Season 1 and Season 2 will be available from the 5th October 2020 with pre-orders now available.
