Anime Limited Licenses The Place Promised in our Early Days & Voices of a Distant Star for UK Blu-ray Release

the-place-promised-in-our-early-days

Anime Limited, also known as All the Anime, have today announced via Twitter that they have acquired the rights to license and distribute Makoto Shinkai’s earlier anime films within the UK.

The anime titles in question are ‘The Place Promised in our Early Days” and “Voices of a Distant Star“, both of which have previously been released on DVD within the UK by the now ‘defunct’ company ADV Films.

Unlike the previous ADV Films release, Anime Limited have confirmed that they will be releasing both films on Blu-ray, offering viewers the chance to watch both films in all its ‘artistic’ and ‘visual’ beauty in full High Definition, something that many fans have been waiting for.

In addition to the films, Anime Limited will also be including the animated short “Travelling Daru“, which is a short prepared by a lot of the team that was involved in the production of The Children Who Chase Lost Voices.

Anime Limited have yet to confirm when the films will be released, but they have promised that more news on the release will be shared within the next few weeks.
