The Transformers: The Movie Announced for 4K Blu-Ray, Steelbook & Collector’s Edition Release This October

Following on from several weeks of teases from British Artist Matt Ferguson, FUNimation UK have officially announced that Transformers: The Movie, which is officially titled The Transformers: The Movie, will receive 4K Blu-Ray release in the UK with Standard, Steelbook and Zavvi Exclusive Collector’s Edition variations on offer.

During the past month Manga Entertainment UK have been making surprise announcements with titles such as Pokemon: Indigo League, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie and Dragon Ball Super all coming to the UK via the anime distributor; and today a few new surprises have appeared with tentative release dates for previously announced titles appearing on Amazon UK.

Synopsis:

The Autobots, led by the heroic Optimus Prime, prepare to make a daring attempt to retake their planet from the evil forces of Megatron and the Decepticons. Transformers The Movie Steelbook Packaging Unveiled

Ever since Manga Entertainment UK announced that they had acquired the UK distribution rights to the Steelbook Blu-ray version of the Transformers Movie, otherwise entitled The Transformers: The Movie, I have always wanted to know exactly what the steelbook would look like; well today that desire has been forfilled.

Transformers: The Movie Blu-ray Promotional Trailers Released

Earlier in the month Manga Entertainment UK announced it had teamed-up with American distributor Shout! Factory to release the 30th Anniversary Edition of Transformers: The Movie onto Blu-ray later this year and over the past few days the UK Distributor have released a selection of promotional videos highlighting what to expect from this new remaster.

MangaUK To Release Pokemon Movies and Transformers: The Movie on Blu-ray Later This Year

In a rather surprising discovery by UK Anime Network, which was later confirmed real by Manga UK / Animatsu Entertainment’s Marketing Manager Andrew Hewson, it seems that Manga Entertainment UK will be releasing several Pokemon movies. the upcoming remaster of Transformers: The Movie and a 30th Anniversary Edition of Akira onto Blu-ray later this year.
