New Pokémon TV Anime Series Announced with New Main Characters and Ash Ketchum’s Story to End in Special Episodes

After 25 years the Pokémon TV Anime series that we know, and love, will come to an end; as The Pokemon Company have announced that the adventures of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu will end next year (in Japan) and that a new TV Anime Series, with two new main characters, will spark the beginning of a new animated adventure in the world of Pokémon.

As part of Pokemon Day, which took place on 27th February 2022 and celebrates 26 years since the original Pokemon games were released in Japan, the Pokemon Company hosted a 14 minute long Pokemon Presents Stream which announced plans for a variety of different Pokemon titles, including the reveal of brand new Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch.

Updated TV schedule listings have revealed that POP!, who are currently broadcasting episodes of Pokemon: Indigo League, as well as numerous other series of Pokemon, throughout the week, will be broadcast Pokemon: The First Movie on the free-to-air TV channel this weekend; specifically on Saturday 20th July at 3:30pm.
