It’s that time to head-up to Scotland again as the week-long cinematic anime event once again returns to Glasgow and Edinburgh in the form of Scotland Loves Anime, otherwise known as Scotland Loves Animation. Scotland Loves Anime 2016 Dates Announced

Get ready to mark your calendars as the official Scotland Loves Anime Facebook Page has recently announced the dates on which their annual films festival will be taking place.

As with previous years the Scotland Loves Anime film festival, otherwise known as Loves Animation, will be taking place in both Glasgow Film Theatre and Edinburgh Filmhouse during two different weekends in October. A list of films has not yet been revealed; but films will be shown at the following locations on the following dates:

  • Glasgow – 14th-16th October 2016
  • Edinburgh – 17th-23rd October 2016

As always further information will be revealed in due time; with both Facebook and Twitter, as well as the official website, providing updates on the event.

  • Hal (screened alongside mystery OVA)

  • The Garden of Words (followed by discussion with the film’s direcotr Makoto Shinkai)
  • Life of Budori Guskou

While the lists (of which films will be shown) are available, the times of each film and ticket availability have still yet to be confirmed, so for those wanting to go to the Scotland Loves Anime event (and who wouldn’t since it’s the UK Premiere of Evangelion 3.0) then you should keep an eye out on the official website for more information.
