The new UK based Video-On-Demand website Animax UK, have today announced that their online streaming service will launch this Friday with premium shows such as Death Note, Black Lagoon and Vampire Night along with free content such as Magi.

This new Video-On-Demand service, which is aimed towards the UK Anime Market, will provide a selection of free anime content, such as Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic Season 2 and Coppelion, in addition to premium content which will require a monthly subscription. This monthly subscription itself will cost £5.99 and will allow unlimited access to all of the shows available on the website. In a sense its a similar business model to Crunchyroll, a limited selection of free content and then a wider selection once you become a paying member.

Furthermore when the website becomes active it will offer a two-week free trial so that users can access all of the content available on the site, after which users can decide to become a paying customer or stay with the free content. Animax UK also hopes to release a PS3 App in the future, whereby (just like the Crunchyroll App) users will be able to view anime directly on their PS3 Console instead of using their computer.

Additionally, to promote the service, Animax UK will have a booth at this weekends MCM London Comic-Con Expo which is being held at the ExCel Centre in London between the 25th to 27th October. Animax UK, the new UK based video-on-demand service, will become available for viewing on the 25th October 2013 within the UK.
