MVM Confirms Delays to Both Seasons of Love Live and Maid Sama Collection

DVD Review: Maid Sama – Part 2

We take a trip back to Maid Latte to see what Misaki and Usui get up to in the remaining episodes; but is it a happy-ever-after or a disaster story waiting to happen? Well for now we will keep it a secret but what did we think of this DVD release by MVM Entertainment? Find out in our review of Maid Sama – Part 2.

Synopsis:

If Misaki Ayuzawa didn’t already have enough problems being the first female student council president of the formerly all-male Seika High School and carrying on a secret double life as a waitress at a local maid cafe by night, the fact that she may be starting to have feelings for Usui, the first boy to discover her dual life, has pushed her nerves to the breaking point. But fate certainly won’t leave it at that, and now she has to deal with a new guy who is not only extremely anti-girl, but a hypnotist as well!

Toss in an organized crime cartel that wants to replace the maid cafe with a butler bistro, some very annoying new transfer students, and the inevitable trip to the hot springs and everyone is guaranteed to end up in hot water one way or another! Read more of this post

Hidamari Sketch – Season 1 and Maid Sama – Part 2 Delayed Until End of January

Following on from the recent delay of No Game No Life MVM Entertainment have now made some additional release date amendments to a selection of titles coming out in January; more specifically Hidamari Sketch – Season 1 and Maid Sama – Part 2.

Hidamari Sketch – Season 1, which was previously listed for an 11th January 2015 release date, has now been moved back two weeks to the 25th January 2015; meanwhile Maid Sama – Part 2, which was previously listed for the 18th January 2015, has also had its release day moved to the 25th January 2015. Just how difficult is it being a part-time maid; well if its anything like Maid Sama then it should be pretty complicated if not downright hilarious! This aside for the time being what did we think of MVM’s latest DVD release? find out in our DVD Review of Maid Sama – Part 1.

Synopsis:

Getting sent to Seika High School is scary enough if you’re a guy, but now that the notorious former boys’ school has gone coed, the unfortunate girls who’ve been enrolled there have only one goal: getting through each day as it comes. MVM To Release Maid Sama as a Complete Colleciton Set on Blu-ray Next Year

MVM Entertainment have announced through social media that they will be releasing Maid Sama as a complete series collection on Blu-ray – alongside a DVD variation – next year.

Previously Maid Sama was announced as a DVD only title but due to fan demand, and presumably a new deal with US or Australian studios, the series will be making its way to Blu-ray. MVM will still continue to release Maid Sama as two half season sets, with both of those due out during the remainder of this year, while the complete series collection will be released next year as both a DVD and Blu-ray release. MVM Entertainment Confirms Its Q4 2015 Release Schedule

MVM Entertainment have today revealed, via their online store Anime-On-Line, their Q4 release schedule for anime titles coming out between October and December of this year.

As you would expect the line-up is pretty solid, with at least one title coming out each week from the distributor, however only two of these releases will be made available on Blu-ray – which is sure to annoy some anime fans out there (including myself). Read more of this post

MVM Entertainment Announcements at London MCM Comic Con May 2015

With Animatsu, Anime Limited and Manga Entertainment UK opting to announce their new titles through Industry Panels throughout the Comic Con weekend MVM Entertainment UK opted to take a different approach and announce their new titles through social media – which ultimately led to some confusion and disappointment.

As it stands MVM Entertainment only have three anime titles heading out for the Q3, and potentially Q4, release window; however amongst (we assume) some criticism the distributor announced that they had signed another seventeen titles for release next year – which is quite an impressive amount.
