BFI Southbank London to Screen Weathering With You in December and Includes Q&A Session with Makoto Shinkai

A listing on the BFI website has revealed that Makoto Shinkai’s latest cinematic film, Weathering With You, will be screened next month, on 10th December 2019, at the BFI Southbank London ahead of its wider-cinematic release next year; and more importantly this special screening will also include a Q&A session with the director himself; Makoto Shinkai. MVM Entertainment Announcement Round-Up from MCM London Comic Con May 2016

Once again MVM Entertainment opted to skip the panel and just announce their licenses through social media and as a result it saw the UK Anime Distributor announce a slew of new, and older titles, being released into the UK on both DVD and Blu-ray.

Anime Weekend Cinema Listings Confirmed for BFI Southbank June 2016

The BFI Southbank London have confirmed their line-up of films for the June 2016 Anime weekend taking place between the 3rd and 5th June 2016; and it’s a pretty strong line-up of feature length anime movies – especially if you like Sci-Fi films.

As part of the weekend attendees will be able to watch Empire of Corpses, which previously made its appearence at MCM Loves Anime last year, alongside The Boy and his Beast, Psycho-Pass: The Movie, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie as well as the original Ghost in the Shell. Read more of this post

Shigeto Koyama to be the Anime Guest of Honour at MCM London October 2015

The folks over at MCM Comic Con have announced that Shigeto Koyama, the art director for Kill La Kill, will be trhe Anime Guest of Honour at this October’s MCM London Comic Con.

While Shigeto Koyama is best known in the anime world as the art director for TRIGGER’S Kill la Kill he was also the designer of Disney’s main protagonist Big Hero 6.  Shigeto Koyama has also worked on other animated shows such as the Evangelion movies, Gurren Lagann, Space Dandy and Eureka Seven.
