The “Late Night Anime” segment on the Sony Movie Channel has been going for a few months now and over the past few weeks Black Lagoon has been the series of choice, well now that the series has (finally) come to a close its been revealed that Bleach will be taking over the weekly slot.

Starting from next Monday night/Tuesday morning the Sony Movie Channel will air f0ur episodes of Bleach, starting with the very first episode – its unclear how many episodes (or for how long) it will be shown for but seeing as Bleach has over 200 dubbed episodes available on DVD it could be awhile.

The first episode will be broadcast at 1:30am on the 17th December 2013 with three additional episodes following after it, its assumed that the following weeks will follow a similar episodic pattern, with several episodes shown each week, just like it did with Black Lagoon.

So there we have it, Bleach will start broadcasting on the Sony Movie Channel (Sky Channel 323) starting from next week and more importantly the channel is free to all Sky TV subscribers.

The Late Night Anime Segment on the Sony Movie Channel continues ‘again’ next week with more KAZE Released titles, this time in the form of futuristic CGI Sci-Fi film Planzet and the old-skool anime film Roujin-Z.

Both films will be shown back-to-back on Tuesday 29th October 2013 on the Sony Movie Channel (Sky 323) with Planzet being shown first, followed by Roujin-Z straight after.

Planzet – 29th October 2013 – 12:45am:

In 2047, an unknown, alien lifeform descends upon the Earth, destroying all the major cities in one fell swoop. The survivors unite and build a Diffusor to stop the Februus, the invaders the military would later codename the FOS, and a temporary peace is achieved.

Jump forward to 2053, the present. A last, desperate counterattack is being mounted against the enemy. Hiroshi Akishima, soldier in the Planetary Defense Forces Alliance, would like nothing better than a shot at the aliens responsible for his father’s death six years ago. However, the new offensive requires the Diffusor to be dropped, leaving the entire planet terribly vulnerable once more. Will humanity regain the stars or lose everything in the final, ultimate gamble?

Roujin-Z – 29th October 2013 – 1:50am:

An elderly invalid is volunteered for a bizarre science experiment. He is given a robotic bed linked directly to his brainwaves, allowing instant gratification. This seems like a wonderful deal, until this seemingly harmless bed goes out of control and transforms into an unstoppable robot.

As always the Sony Movie Channel does not require a Sky Movie Subscription and can be watched on an ordinary (basic) Sky package, additionally if you end up missing the start of a film their is a Sony Movie Channel +1 located on Sky Channel 324.

Both Planzet and Roujin-Z are available on DVD, while Roujin-Z is also available on Blu-ray.
