All The Anime Begins The Gurren Lagann Digipack Replacement Program

gurren_lagann_review_screenshot (1)

All The Anime have recently announced that they are now ready to begin issuing digipack replacements to those effected by the disc tray issue; something which we reported on last month.

Basically if you purchased a copy of Gurren Lagann – Ultimate Edition and found that the disc tray had been incorrectly placed, or fallen off completely, then you are entitled to a free replacement. In order to do this you are urged to follow the steps provided in this recent post on All The Anime’s blog, or as shown below:

1. Mail kerry@ alltheanime.com (minus the space) with a quick shot of the digipack (don’t worry if glued back already and concerned, we’ll understand). If possible too send a proof of purchase – just an Amazon order confirmation or such – don’t worry if you can’t find your receipt!

2. Fill in the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8NMCZ5F

3. Wait: First shipment will be 2 weeks from today then every two weeks until end of year, afterwards we’ll keep processing on a month by month basis as we’d expect most of those impacted to be covered by the end of the year here.

You’ll get a confirmation as soon as the digipack is sent out so fear not!

It’s only been a couple of weeks since the issue was first spotted, so it’s nice that All The Anime are doing ‘everything’ they can to offer replacements; although in reality it should never have happened in the first place but things like this do happen from time-to-time.

All The Anime Addresses the Gurren Lagann Ultimate Edition Issues

gurren_lagann_review_screenshot (1)

Earlier in the week reports came in that the Ultimate Edition of Gurren Lagann suffered from some rather amsuing but disappointg issues; well today All The Anime have provided an update to these issues so that hopefully everyone knows where they stand.

The first issue was that a wide selection of fans who received the product noticed that the third disc tray was either glued in the wrong place or had fallen off completely; this was down to a manufacturing fault and it seems in order to fix it viewers can either re-glue the disc try onto the card or request a replacement box. All The Anime’s Ultimate Edition of Gurren Lagann Suffers from some ‘amusing’ Production Flaws

If you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of your Ultimate Edition release of Gurren Lagann then you may be in for some disappointing news; as according to those who have already received it a potential major production error has occured.

Basically the third tray that houses the first movie disc has been incorrectly placed/ glued which results in the disc tray being skewed; but whatever the reason it’s not in the correct place and looks – well stupid and not something you’d expect from a £100 collectors edition purchase. Well lets find out in our Blu-ray Review of Gurren Lagann – Ultimate Edition.

The destiny of these two starts moving drastically when the ceiling of their village falls in, and a gigantic “Gunmen” and a beautiful girl named Yoko, wielding a superconductive rifle, come from the surface. Ultimate Edition of Gurren Lagann Delayed Once Again; This Time Until October 2014

gurren_lagann_screenshot_simon_kamiya

It seems like we will never get our hands on the ‘retail’ version of Gurren Lagann as today the UK Anime Distributor All The Anime revealed that the release of the Ultimate Blu-ray Edition of Gurren Lagann had been pushed back until the 20th October 2014.

According to the recent blog-post the reason for this ‘new’ delay is because the Disc Production company, in this case Sony DADC, has received a high production orders over the past few days and as such the printing of the retail Gurren Lagann discs have been pushed back so that the company can complete all of its orders. All The Anime Clarifies Content Included with Gurren Lagann: Ultimate Blu-ray Edition Collection

gurren_lagann_screenshot_simon_kamiya

It’s been awhile since we last heard from All The Anime, also known as Anime Limited, about their upcoming ‘Ultimate Edition’ release of Gurren Lagann on Blu-ray and today the UK Anime Distributor has broke it’s silence to reveal some interesting and exciting, but potentially disappointing news.

First of all the release has been pushed back once again until the 29th September 2014; which means an additional five weeks waiting for those that are eager to get their hands on it – such as ourselves. The reason for this delay is because All The Anime only received the “GO AHEAD” from the Japanese licensor last week regarding artwork used within the art-book and since it takes around 5 weeks for the materials to be created the entire set has to be pushed back slightly.
