Gundam Reconguista in G To Be Released as a Complete Series Blu-ray

When Anime Limited first announced the release of Gundam Reconguista in G, otherwise known as Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam Reconguista in G, many retailers incorrectly listed the product as a Complete Series collection and since then it has never been amended (despite the distributor claiming that it would be released in two parts). Well as part of yesterday’s newswire the distributor revealed that it will now be able to release Gundam Reconguista in G as a Complete Series Blu-ray set and better yet it will receive that ‘special’ treatment like previous Mobile Suit Gundam releases. Anime Limited Confirms Amendments to Q2 2016 Release Schedule

Release date alerations continue to plague Anime Limited as earlier in the week the UK Distributor took to their weekly newswire to reveal that a a selection of titles have had their dates changed; including both Selector Infected WIXOSS and Tokyo ESP.

Sunrise “Mobile Suit Gundam” Panel at MCM London Comic Con

Anime Limited Clarifies Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Reconguista In G Release Plans

Last month at the Manchester MCM Comic Con Anime Limited announced during their panel that they would be releasing the original Mobile Suit Gundam series onto Blu-ray in both English and Japanese languages; following on from that announcement numerous retailers, including Amazon and Zavvi, began listing the product for pre-order with a September release date – a date which we also published onto this blog. Anime Limited’s Q4 2015 Release Schedule Revealed

Following on from the rather ‘unimformative’ but exciting Anime Limited panel at last weekends Manchester MCM Comic Con online retailer Amazon UK have begun listing the titles that were mentioned at the event; and it contains a few expected surprises.

The surprises come in the form that Sword Art Online II – Part 2 and 3 are scheduled for release during this fourth quarter; additionally Gundam – Reconguista in G will be released as a complete series set as opposed to Mobile Suit Gundam which is being released as a half-series-set. Gundam: Reconguista in G Coming to Animax UK This Week

Animax UK continues to ‘expand’ it’s streaming line-up as today the subscription-based streaming service have announced that they will shortly be adding Gundam: Reconguista in G, the latest instalment into the long-running Gundam franchise, as part of it’s service.

The seven existing episodes of the series will be available at to Stream for Animax UK subscribers from the 15th November 2014, at which point each week a new episode will be added to service as part of their simulcast streaming agreement. While the previous seven episodes will remain ‘restricted’ to just Animax UK subscribers it’s expected that new episodes will be available for non-subscribers to view that particular week; although this has yet to be clarified.

Interestingly Animax UK isn’t the only place to watch Gundam: Reconguista in G as at the moment as Anime Limited, via their Vimeo on Demand Channel, are allowing people to purchase the entire series as a digital download while Viewster are allowing UK viewers to watch the episodes on their streaming service.

Gundam: Reconguista in G will be available on Animax UK from the 15th November 2014, with a new episode added to the service each week afteer it airs in Japan.

All The Anime Licenses Gundam Reconguista in G for Streaming and Digital Distribution

It’s not exactly the Gundam announcement i was hoping for but UK Anime Distributor have announced that they have acquried the UK Streaming and Digital Distribution rights to Gundam Reconguista in G; the latest chapter in the ever-growing Gundam anime franchise.

Seeing as Gundam Reconguista in G is the ‘latest’ series here is a brief synopsis of what we can expect:

The Universal Century, an era of historic migration into space and space wars has ended, and some time has passed.

It’s now Regild Century Year 1014 (R.C. 1014) where the creation of humanoid mobile suits of war is now taboo and Earth is connected to space via the sacred orbital elevator, Capital Tower, which humanity uses to bring energy in the form of Photon Batteries to the surface.

Bellri Zenam is a cadet in the Capital Guard, the protectors of the tower. During a training exercise pirates attack the tower and Bellri crosses paths with the G-Self, a mobile suit with unknown technology. Bellri is successful in capturing the suit and it’s pilot, Aiida Reihanton, and soon discovers the G-Self, which should only be operable under certain conditions, will now move under his own hand. Now Bellri must pilot the G-Self to uncover the mysteries behind the space pirates, the G-Self and his own destiny. These truths will shke the entire Regild Century to it’s core and this is just the beginning of Reconguista.
