Anime Limited Confirms Q1 Release Schedule

UK Home Video Release of Giovanni’s Island Pushed Back Till January

giovannis_island-screenshot2It seems the bad news keeps on coming from All The Anime, or Anime Limited as they are also known, as today the UK Anime Distributor revealed that the feature-length-film Giovanni’s Island will now be released on the 12th January 2015.

The title, which is being released as a Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack, was originally slated for a 8th December 2014 release date however due to an ‘undisclosed’ reason the release has now been pushed back into the middle of next-year – which is disappointing for those hoping to receive it as a christmas present. Giovanni’s Island To Debut in UK Cinemas Next Month; Home Video Release To Receive Three Variations


If you’ve been keeping up with the news on All The Anime’s official Giovanni Island website then you may consider this ‘old news’ either-way the UK Anime distributor have revealed that Giovanni’s Island, a a feature-length animated film directed by Mizuho Nishikubo and produced by Production I.G, will receive it’s UK cinematic debut on the 10th October 2014 at the BFI Southbank in London.

The film will then be shown on the 11th October 2014 at the BFI Southbank in London as well as various other places around the UK, such as the Glasgow Film Theatre on the 12th October and the Film house in Edinburgh on the 18th October 2014. Currently these are the only locations that have been ‘confirmed’ to be showing the film; although it is expected the new locations (and dates) will be revealed in due course; additionally cinemas whishing to show the film can get in touch with All The Anime to arrange it. All The Anime Acquries Giovanni’s Island for Theatrical and Home Video Release


UK Anime Distributor All The Anime, previously known as Anime Limited, have today announced that they have acquried the UK distribution license for Giovanni’s Island, a feature-length animated film directed by Mizuho Nishikubo and produced by Production I.G, for home video and theatrical release.

Based on true events, and created by the same studio behind A Letter To Momo, Giovanni’s Island sees two boys, Junpei and Kanta, living within the war torn island of Shikotan as they and the residents become acustomed to all of the new changes taking place; changes which sees two different nations of people becoming acustomed to each other despite all of the tensions in the air. It’s a dramatic story and one that sees imagination and open-minds bring new possibilities for the characters. Read more of this post
