The Garden of Words & Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist Movie Now Available on Netflix UK

Netflix UK once again continues to expand its anime, and in turn anime-related, offerings as the subscription-based video-on-demand giant have now added Makoto Shinkai‘s animated mini-movie The Garden of Words as well as the live-action movie adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s Manga series Fullmetal Alchemist. Full Metal Alchemist & Pokemon: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel Added to Netflix UK

Although Netflix UK may have removed a selection of anime titles at the start of this year, namely Gunslinger Girls and The Irregular at Magic High School, updated listings on New On Netflix reveal that the Fullmetal Alchemist, the original 2003 anime series, as well as last years Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, are now available to stream on the subscription based video-on-demand service. As of late expectations of what to see released during the fourth quarter of 2016 have slowly been getting revealed; with both MangaUK/Animatsu and MVM Entertainment slowly updating their release catalogues but when it comes to Anime Limited titles we never quite know what to expect or when.

Anime Limited Panel Round-Up from MCM Manchester Comic Con July 2016

Anime Limited were out in force at this years MCM Manchester Comic Con and it is up to the el presidente of Anime Limited, Andrew Partridge, to deliver the exciting news of what the company has in store for fans in the coming months. Truthfully the announcements were pretty thin, with only two new titles being announced; but what the panel did provide was information, claraity and an insight into the world of Anime Licensing and distribution; all of which you shall see in our video of the panel.

So what exactly was discussed? Well Andrew went on to explain what you can expect from the upcoming Ultimate Edition Blu-ray release of Fullmetal Alchemist as well as reveal the contents of the much rumoured Escaflowne: Ultimate Edition. In addition to these ‘hot products’ Andrew announcement that Anime Limited would be releasing Ouran Highschool Host Club and a collection of shorts by Production I.G. onto Blu-ray at some point in the near future. Anime Limited Announcement Round-Up from MCM London Comic Con May 2016

At this month’s MCM London Comic Con event Anime Limited opted to break-tradition and announce their new anime licenses via a board at their booth; an idea which seemed fun but caused confusion and disappointment to those attending the panels, such as ourselves.

The biggest announcement of the weekend was the unveiling of the Fullmetal Alchemist Ultimate Edition Blu-ray set; a set which will contain the entire series (51 episodes) remastered in High Definition with English and Japanese audio along with some artcards, a book and special packaging – a packaging design which sees the Gate of Truth holding the collection.
