Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden may have been released last year, 16th October 2016 to be exact, but Bandai Namco Entertainment will soon be releasing a patch (tomorrow to be exact) which introduces a selection of new features; most notably online play – which was lacking from the inital release – and brand new characters taken from Dragon Ball Heroes, Dragon Ball Xenoverse and the new TV Anime Dragon Ball Super. Another year, another Dragon Ball game and while many may roll their eyes at another Dragon Ball Z fighting game being released onto a ‘unlikely’ platform it is a title that is worth taking an interest in; especially if you are a fan of the BlazBlue franchise or, more interestingly, a fan of the Super Famicom Butoden titles released many years ago. In a surprising, but interesting, turn of events publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment are offering European Nintendo 3DS players the chance to pre-order (and pre-purchase) Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden from the Nintendo 3DS eShop; and by doing so they will also gain access to the Japanese SNES game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2. Playable Demo of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden Released onto Nintendo 3DS eShop

Despite not being released into the UK and Europe for another two months distributor Bandai Namco Entertainment have today released a playable demo for the upcoming Arc System Works developed fighting game; Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden.

Featuring 2D Sprites and classic ‘old-skool’ fighting mechanics this playable demo of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will offer a fair example of what you can expect from the game when its released onto the Nintendo 3DS later this year. The demo itself features four characters; namely Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Majin Buu, and two gameplay modes – Battle Mode and Versus Mode. Read more of this post
