Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad & Samurai Flamenco – Part 2 Receive New Delays

Anime Limited have once again revealed that a handful of it’s upcoming titles have been delayed; this time in the form of the DVD-only release of Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad as well as the long-awaited second part of Samurai Flamenco.

As explained in the recent newswire Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad has been delayed until the 19th September 2016 as a result of a printing error; meanwhile a delay in arrival of stock from suppliers means that Samurai Flamenco – Part 2 will now be released on the 19th September 2016 as opposed to it’s original scheduled release date. Anime Limited Confirms Amendments to It’s Q4 2016 Release Schedule

The phrase “How hard can it be?” that Jeremy Clarkson often spoke in the previous generation of Top Gear springs to mind when I read the latest newswire published by Anime Limited as a large portion of Anime Limited’s Q4 release schedule has been pushed back due to delays received; most of which seemingly happen to be delays in approval from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) which is of course required by UK Law for a product to be released within the UK. Anime Limited Confirm a Selection of Release Date Amendments

As of late Anime Limited have been relatively strong with a successful line-up of releases, with most recently being Aldnoah Zero – Season 1 and Sword Art Online II – Part 4; however not all titles manage to release on time and today as part of their weekly newswire the UK distributor is addressing some of these delays to keep those concerned at bay. Strictly speaking a selection of ‘tentative’ release date titles have now been given a more ‘realistic’ release date; some of which are long overdue.

To start with The Empire of Corpses, which is given a tentative date for July, has now been given an 8th August 2016. The reason for the change was due to a delay in production of the steelbook case, which can be seen below, but as it was a tentative ‘unconfirmed’ date then this particular release doesn’t feel like much of a delay. Anime Limited Industry Panel Announcements at Manchester MCM Comic Con 2015
