History once again rears its head in MVM Entertainment’s latest DVD Release of Battle Girls: Time Paradox; but does it put that history to good use? Probably not, but what does the DVD have to offer? Find out in our review.

Synopsis:

Yoshino Hide (nickname Hideyoshi) is your average, everyday teenager, interested only in fashion, snacks, and her afterschool free time. She’s destined to fail her next history test without some sort of miraculous intervention, so she stops by the local shrine to offer up a prayer or two to any deity that might be listening.

Her prayers are interrupted by a mysterious blue light that engulfs her and leaves Hideyoshi stranded in a strange new world that appears to be feudal Japan. All the inhabitants of this world, however, including feudal warlord Oda Nobunaga, are women! Now Hideyoshi finds herself on a quest to gather the pieces of the Crimson Armor and help Nobunaga conquer the land! Read more of this post

UK DVD Release of Battle Girls: Time Paradox Delayed Until February

Those looking forward to the upcoming UK DVD Release of Battle Girls: Time Paradox are in for some disappointing news; as the series has been delayed and it will now be released on the 16th February 2015.

MVM Entertainment have yet to provide a reason for the delay, but we assume it has something to do with the 8-Second cut that the series received from the BBFC.  Since the BBFC requested this 8-second cut (which we believe to be from Episode 3 during the bath scene) MVM can not use the disc masters that were originally authored by Madman Entertainment and so the discs (particular disc 1) have to be re-encoded and re-authored; all of which of course takes time and money.

Battle Girls: Time Paradox was originally due for release on the 26th January 2015; however due to this delay it is now scheduled for release on the 16th February 2015.

As always these release dates and formats are ‘subject to change’ but interestingly a few surprises are in-store; including complete box-set collections of Chrome Shelled Regios, which was previously released as a half-season set, as well as a ‘complete collection’ set, which combines both Season 1 and Season 2, for Arakawa Under the Bridge. Anyway here is a rundown of the Q1 release schedule for MVM Entertainment. Read more of this post

It may have been another busy weekend at this years London MCM Comic Con but when it comes to Anime License Announcements then it was pretty much non-existent; that is unless you are MVM Entertainment.

Anyway the traditional ‘announcement panel’ was replaced with a simple Q&A session, mainly because the announcements were made online throughout the weekend and because the head honchos for Manga UK and MVM UK were busy doing other tasks; either way the complete license announcement throughout the entire MCM Comic Con weekend is as follows: Read more of this post
