Earlier in the year Manga Entertainment UK re-released the first season of Attack on Titan as a complete season box set in an attempt to not only fix concerns over the first half of the series, which saw the bonus features stripped onto a DVD as part of the Deluxe Collector’s Edition (which we unboxed here); but to give potential newcomers to the franchise everything they would need within a single purchase. So is this Attack on Titan Blu-ray (which is also available on DVD) worth it? or is it just another missed oppurtunity by MangaUK? Well let’s take a closer look in our unboxing. Blu-ray Review: Attack on Titan – Movie 2

The live-action Attack on Titan movie franchise returns to finish off the mess it left within the first film but does it get any better or is it all bark and no bite? Personally I find it to be a disappointing film but you can find out more by checking out our thoughts on this Blu-ray release by Animatsu Entertainment.

Eren and the others set out on a mission to restore the Wall that had been destroyed by a colossal Titan, but they’re suddenly faced with a quagmire when they’re attacked by a horde of Titans. Shikishima, the Titan-slaying captain of the Scout Regiment, arrives to save the day, but the Titans show no sign of letting up.

During the battle, Eren is badly injured, and in the process of saving his friend Armin, he’s swallowed whole by a Titan. Just as all hope seems to be lost, a mysterious Titan with black hair suddenly appears and begins annihilating the other Titans.  If this mission fails, it will spell the end of humanity. Blu-ray Review: Attack on Titan – Movie 1

The Attack on Titan franchise continues to be popular as while Manga Entertainment UK continue to push-out a re-release of the anime series, and Koei Tecmo Europe releasing a video-game based on the anime in August, we find ourselves seeing Animatsu Entertainment release the live-action adaptation of the franchise from Toho Studios. So; does this live action film deserve your attention? Well that all depends on your perspective but we take a closer look to find out what this UK Blu-ray release has in store.

Fast-forward 100 years. What remains of the human population now survives in relative peace behind massive walls erected in defence against the Titans. That peace is shattered when a Colossal Titan, measuring over 50 meters tall, smashes through the wall and allows a horde of other Titans to enter.

Eren Yeager had resigned himself to a life confined behind these walls. “Nothing I do would make a difference”, he thought. But when he joins the ‘Outer Wall Restoration Team’ set up to fight against the Titans, he is reunited with Mikasa, a childhood friend. The new recruits embark on a mission to plug the gaping hole in the wall and stop the waves of titans once and for all. With humanity’s survival on the line, will there be a future for Eren and Mikasa, and for mankind itself? Read more of this post

AOT: Wings of Freedom E3 Gameplay Trailer Shows Plenty of Action

Throughout the E3 week Koei Tecmo Europe released a brand new gameplay trailer for the Attack on Titan themed videogame, known as AOT: Wings of Freedom, and with it showcases plenty of storyline elements that cover the entire anime series.

As part of this new gameplay trailer we see Eran Yager use his titan ability to take-down several titans as well as various elements of the anime series recreated in videogame form such as the battle for trost and the venture which sees the scout regiment attempt to capture the female titan. It all looks splendid and it seems that Omega Force have done a fine job of recreating the look and feel of the anime series; all of which you can see for yourself in the trailer below!
