It’s been awhile since we heard anything from Universal Pictures UK regarding their ‘Collectors Edition’ releases of anime titles; but throughout the past week that news has changed as the entertainment company recently unveiled their collectors edition contents for The Heroic Legend of Arslan – Season 1 Part 2; a set which is due out on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.

Universal Pictures UK once again returns to the anime distribution scene and this time they are providing fans with a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray (and Collector’s Edition DVD) release of The Heroic Legend of Arslan – Series 1 Part 1. So.. is this second anime release by Universal Pictures UK just as impressive as their debut or will does it fail in comparison? The answer is simple; it is just as impressive as their previous release and, in some aspects at least, it is a lot better and today we will be unboxing the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release of The Heroic Legend of Arslan – Series 1 Part 1.

If you’ve been waiting to watch The Heroic Legend of Arslan through FUNimation NOW UK then you would have been out of luck, as the series was not eligble for viewing inside of the UK; however it seems FUNimation have now settled the streaming agreement as the entire first season, in both English and Japanese with English Subtitles, is now available to view through their subscription based streaming service.
