Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Heading to Europe Next Year on PS Vita and PS4

Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that they will be releasing a localised version, presumably Japanese audio with English subtitles, of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth for the PS4 and PS Vita next year within Europe and America.

The announcement of the games arrival was originally made with a gameplay trailer at the recent Anime Expo event in Amercia last thursday; and while the trailer was ‘aimed’ at the American auidience the European division of Bandai Namco Entertainment uploaded the same trailer, albeit with the PEGI logo at the start, onto their channel during the Japan Expo event in Paris during the weekend. So thats two big events; one big surprise. Read more of this post

Unboxing: Fairy Tail – Part 8 (Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack) [USA]

It’s time for another ‘unboxing’ article and this time we take a closer look at the American Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack release of Fairy Tail – Part 8; a release which sees episodes 85-96 spread over two Blu-ray and two DVD discs, but more importantly it concludes the Edolas Story Arc.

I won’t go into details of the storyline or episode content but what i will say is that this ‘American’ release by FUNimation continues the trend set by previous releases, especially Parts 5 through to 7, as the disc artwork still uses the ‘basic’ design, their is still a carded sleeve that goes over the DVD Sized cases and more importantly it still features reversible sleeve with artwork. In hindsight it’s exactly the same as previous installmets; in terms of layout and presentation, but just a different selection of episodes on offer – which is all you could really ask for as it matches the other sets on the shelf. Mai Mai Miracle Reaches Target Within 24 Hours, English Audio Track Added as Stretch Goal

All The Anime’s debut Kickstarter Campaign for Mai Mai Miracle, a feature length film directed by Sunao Katabuchi, has managed to achieve its $30,000 target within 24 hours.

The $30,000 target set by All The Anime was to allow for the production and distribution of a Blu-ray and DVD version of the film, this includes packaging, translation and replication – everything major publishers (such as FUNimation) have to do before their product can be released. Of course now that the $30,000 target has been reached it means that anyone who pledges money to the project (or has already pledged) will receive their reward, rewards which range from a copy of the film on Blu-ray to exclusive artworks that are not available to the public.
