Akame Ga Kill, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Studio Ghibli Movies Added to Netflix UK

A new month means another large content drop on subscription based video-on-demand platform Netflix UK and this as of yesterday, 1st March 2020, a selection of new anime titles – as well as another selection of Studio Ghibli titles – have been added on the platform; with highlights including Akame Ga Kill, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Spirited Away. We dive once again into the pits of war to see what Animatsu Entertainment’s latest Blu-ray release of Akame Ga Kill – Collection 2 has to offer.

Synopsis:

The convoluted path that has reunited Tatsumi and Esdeath takes another twist as they find themselves transported to a remote island where their strength will be tested as never before. Dr. Stylish may be dead, but Danger Beasts still remain, and that’s only the first challenge the two enemies now face.

Akame Ga Kill – Collection 2 Release Date Confirmed

Last month UK Anime Distributor Animatsu Entertainment revealed that it’s upcoming release of Akame Ga Kill – Collection 2, which was expected to be released as a Standard DVD, Blu-ray and Collectors Edition Combo Pack, was delayed indefinitely. Well today, through the power of social media, the distributor have revealed that it’s new release date is now the 26th September 2016. Read more of this post

Akame Ga Kill – Collection 2 Delayed Indefinitely

Animatsu Entertainment have recently confirmed that their UK Blu-ray and DVD release of Akame Ga Kill – Collection 2, which was initally scheduled for release on the 4th July 2016, has been delayed Indefinitely.

A reason for this delay has not been provided so we can only assume it is in relation to assets and packaging materials not being provided/produced in time for scheduled release date. Once a new release date has been confirmed Animatsu Entertainment will be sure to let everyone know through social media channels and retail outlets per usual. Read more of this post

Akame Ga Kill – Part 1 Collectors Edition Bundle Announced for UK

It’s been several months since Animatsu Entertainment revealed they had the UK Distribution license to Akame Ga Kill and yet since then we have heard very little about it… that is until now.

It turns out that Animatsu Entertainment will be releasing the series in two ‘half-season-sets’ with the first part being released on the 8th March 2016 – which is most likely a placeholder date – as a Deluxe Collectors Edition. Unlike previously released collectors edition sets we can expect a handful of physical products; including a hardcover book and a rigid chipboard artbox. Read more of this post

Animatsu Confirms Acquisition of Akame Ga Kill for UK Release

Following on from the news that Animatsu had secured the UK license to Gatchaman Crowds the new distributor-come-license holder then confirmed through twitter that they had acquired the UK rights to another popular anime; Akame Ga Kill.
