MVM Entertainment UK have today announced, via a post on their website, that they have acquired the UK distribution rights to three new titles, all of which will be released during this year.
The titles in question are Accel World, We Without Wings and Chrome Shelled Regios each of which will come complete with an English Dub track in addition to the original Japanese Audio track (with English Subtitles). While all three titles will be available in English it is not known if any (excluding Chrome Shelled Regios) will be available on Blu-ray, as Blu-ray versions are currently available in America.
Either way here is a brief overview of what to expect from each series.
Accel World:
Currently slated for a June release, this futuristic series set in 2048 follows Haru, a short, fat boy who takes refuge in virtual games as a respite from the bullying he receives at school. Catching the attention of the school’s student council vice-president, Haru is introduced to the “Accelerated World”, where users can access the “Brain Burst”, an acceleration of time in the brain that makes the real world slow down. Drawn into an MMO battle with others in Accel World, Haru vows to take on the 6 Kings of Colour and solve the mystery of just why the Accelerated World was created.
We Without Wings:
The complete series will be released by MVM in 2014, which is split into 3 chapters following different groups of people. Based on the visual novel of the same name, We Without Wings, each chapter revolves around a different lead, and as the series progresses the stories become more complex and intwined. A beautifully realised slice of life anime with romance, secrets and a hint of ecchi entertainment.
Chrome Shelled Regios:
After the world has fallen into a state of disrepair, humanity has retreated to huge mobile cities named Regios. With the Earth now populated by contanimated life-forms, humanity must defend itself by using weapons called DITE. One young man trying to forget his past arrives in the Regios named Zuellini, but soon catches the attention of those who would use his considerable skills for their own ends.
These three new titles are in addition to the titles already confirmed by MVM Entertainment last year, so it seems even MVM are going to be having a busy year releasing Anime into the UK Market.
