Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Digital Novel Details Confirmed

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is an upcoming mystery thriller from the creative minds behind the DANGANRONPA franchise and publisher SPIKE CHUNSOFT have previously confirmed that a digital novel, that acts a prequel to the events of the game, will be released alongside the game later this year. The publisher have now revealed what to expect from this digital novel and announced how fans can expect to receive this digital goodie.

The Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Digital Novel will be available as a digital application for the Nintendo Switch and will be included as a download code with all ‘first print’ standard editions of the game and included as part of the Collector’s Edition. It’s also expected that those who purchase the game digitally from the Nintendo eShop will also receive it automatically when the game downloads to their console. But what exactly is this digital novel and what can fans expect? Well SPIKE CHUNSOFT have provided us with a synopsis, so be sure to take a look:

The digital novel How to Be a Master Detective: A Yakou Furio Case is an original, newly written story about the younger days of Yakou Furio, the head of the Nocturnal Detective Agency, and serves as a prequel to the main story of the game. It contains no spoilers and can be read before playing the game. The digital novel is supervised by Kazutaka Kodaka, main scenario writer for Master Detectives Archives: RAIN CODE, and written by Yoichiro Koizumi.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is currently scheduled for a 30th June 2023 release on the Nintendo Switch and is available to pre-order from a variety of different retailers.
