Inti Creates Announces Digital February 2023 Release for Grim Guardians: Demon Purge on Multi-Platforms

Inti Creates, the developers of titles such as Gal*Gun 2, Dragon Marked for Death and Bloodstained, have recently announced that they will release a sprite based side-scrolling action spin-off featuring characters from Gal*Gun Double Peace onto multiple platforms next year.

Introduced as Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, and announced for a digital release on 23rd February 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC with an SRP of US$ 24.99 / €23.99, the game puts players in control of Shinobu Kamizono and Maya Kamizono as they fight their way through various locations to defeat the demon in the castle. Each of these characters will have their own unique fight style and will have to battle a variety of different enemies in order to restore peace in this twisted and demonic world.

Synopsis: Grim Guardians is a 2D side-scrolling action game focused on two demon hunting sisters who challenge a demonic castle in order to save their school. Players take control of both characters with entirely different skillsets, proceeding through stages in order to confront the demonic bosses that await deep within. Each boss yields new weapons for them, allowing for more varied exploration in further stages and opening up new routes.

Grim Guardians features 2-player co-op with special actions, extensive difficulty options with the “Style System,” unique changes on repeat plays, and most importantly the quality and challenge players have come to expect from Inti Creates titles, this time with a new gothic horror aesthetic. When a demon’s castle darkens the land, two sisters challenge its halls. Together, they can break the curse!

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge will receive a digital release outside of Japan for US$ 24.99 / €23.99 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC; however a standard physical (and limited edition) will be released for Japanese audiences.
