ONE PIECE ODYSSEY to Receive a Playable Demo Next Year

A newly released gameplay trailer for the upcoming ONE PIECE ODYSSEY game has revealed that a playable demo will be made available shortly before the games release next year, with the demo set to launch on 10th January 2023.

ONE PIECE ODYSSEY is a brand video game installment in the long-running manga-come-anime franchise and sees Luffy search for his crew after arriving on a mysterious island while developing new relationships with island inhabitants and rediscovering the past in various new ways.

During their voyage, the Straw Hats, led by Monkey D. Luffy are swallowed by a huge storm at sea. They end up on a mysterious island full of nature amidst the storm and become separated from each other. The crew sets out on a new adventurous journey filled with wonders of a raging nature, powerful enemies and strange encounters with island locals. Work together with Luffy and his crew to set sail once again!

ONE PIECE ODYSSEY, which is a turned based RPG rather than an action-drive-experience like the previous games, not only looks to incorporate an entirely new and unique story into the world of ONE PIECE, but it will also see players explore events of the past with players helping Luffy and his crew restore past memories, and potentially change the outcome, as demonstrated in the latest gameplay trailer.

ONE PIECE ODYSSEY will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on 13th January 2023. A playable demo, which might possibly be the same demo shown at MCM London Comic Con earlier this year, will be released on 10th January 2023.
