Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot – Bardock – Alone Against Fate DLC to Launch on 13th January 2023 alongside PS5 & Xbox Series X|S versions

After weeks (if not months) of teasing Bandai Namco Entertainment have confirmed that the fourth piece of downloadable content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, known as Bardock – Alone Against Fate, will launch on 13th January 2023 alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of the game.

As a reminder Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an action-RPG that retells the events of the main Dragon Ball Z storyline through the eyes of Goku (Kakarot) and a select number of Dragon Ball Z characters and was originally released onto the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC in 2020 with a Nintendo Switch version a year later. Since then the game has received three pieces of downloadable content that expand the world of the game, namely the inclusion of story line elements from the Battle of Gods, Resurrection F and The History of Trunks movies.

On the 13th January 2023, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans will be able to experience a new chapter in the games ever expanding story. That is the inclusion of Bardock – Alone Against Fate, a seperate storyline that focuses on Bardock, the Father of Goku, and recates elements found within that specific OVA film (also entitled Bardock: The Father of Goku). To celebrate this release date announcement, and confirmation of gameplay content, Bandai Namco Entertainment have released a new gameplay trailer; of which can be seen below.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions due on 13th January 2023. Those who previously own Dragon Ball Z: kakarot on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions at no additional cost. Those new to the game however can purchase physical PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, with pre-orders now available at a variety of retailers.
