PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse set for March 2023 Release

KOEI TECMO Europe have recently announced that the horror adventure game PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will launch on 9th March 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.

As a reminder PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a modern day remaster of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse that originally launched onto the Nintendo Wii in 2008.

PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a frightening mystery that takes place on a remote island in southern Japan. A decade after five young girls mysteriously disappeared at an island festival, their memories of the events that transpired during their disappearance remain fuzzy. But when two of the girls are found dead days apart ten years after the initial vanishing, the remaining three teenagers head back to the island — a haunted place possessed by ghosts and spirits — to solve the mystery of their friends’ death, while also unlocking the secrets to the memories they left behind.

The publisher have also confirmed that anyone who purchases PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse before the 23rd March 2023 will also be able to download the Ruka Exclusive Costume “Marie Rose Outfit” from the Dead or Alive series. It is possible that this piece of DLC may be available to download for free from the relevant digital storefront without purchasing a copy of the game (except Steam); but that aside those who pre-order the game digitally will receive a variety of costumes, including the Ruka Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (white/red), the Misaki Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/red), the Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Fox Mask” (black/blue), and the Ruka Misaki, and Choshiro Limited Edition Costume “Spirit Stone Flashlight Hat”. Those who have save data on the same platform from the previous game will also receive the Save Data Bonus, the “Camera Obscura Hat”.
