Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Versions set for January 2023 Release with Free Digital Upgrade for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One Owners

Bandai Namco Entertainment have recently confirmed that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released on the 13th January 2023 with both physical and digital editions being made available. Those who own Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also be able to upgrade to the ‘next-gen’ version for free at launch.

The news was confirmed along with a newly released gameplay trailer which highlights some of the improvements that the ‘next-gen’ version will offer, including improved visuals and performance. In addition, Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed that physical pre-orders will begin soon with Deluxe and Legendary Editions planned for a digital release through the relevant digital storefront.

Standard Edition:
– Base Game (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S)

Deluxe Edition:
– Base Game (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S)
– Season Pass 1 (2 Story Arcs + Trunks Episode)
– Deluxe Cooking Item

Legendary Edition:
– Base Game (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S)
– Season Pass 1 (2 Story Arcs + Trunks Episode)
– Season Pass 2 (3 Story Arcs)
– Deluxe Cooking Item
– Legendary Cooking Item
– Tao Pai Pai Pillar

Those who already own the Season Pass for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will most likely be upgraded to the next-gen versions as well. For the time being at least owners of the base game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at launch. Regardless these editions of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available from 13th January 2023.
